Adventure Tours in Costa Rica
Costa Rica has wonderful terrain for ATV and horseback riding tours. The small country has forests, mountains and beaches that provide amazing scenery for travelers.
One great place for a tour is Arenal Volcano. The Arenal Volcano is located northwest of San Jose, and is centered in Arenal Volcano National Park. Visitors can see hot rocks tumbling down the side of this active volcano. After 400 years, this volcano erupted in 1968, and has been active ever since. The volcano is an important source for its nearby reservoir. The reservoir provides hydroelectric power for the country. The whole area is quite a delightful sight to see.
 Another great place to tour is Tamarindo, nestled in the northern part of Costa Rica. A tour can take you through the beach and into the nearby jungle to explore more amazing wildlife. The beach is a home for nesting Leatherback Turtles. Try visiting from October to March to witness the turtles laying their eggs. Sixty to ninety days after the eggs are laid, they are hatched. The area is popular for fisherman and surfers. If you plan on staying into the night, you might catch musicians playing on street corners.
If you travel to the Pacific Coast, south of Quepos, you will find Manuel Antonio. In this area you will find a large marine reserve, 1700 acres of land, and a swamp. The jungle meets the gorgeous, white sand beach, creating breath-taking scenery. When touring this area you might see an endangered squirrel monkey, raccoons, sloths, kingfishers, hawks, and pelicans. From the beach you may observe migrating whales and dolphins.
Jaco Beach and Los Suenos Marina is another great place to tour. The beach and luxurious marina are interesting places to see. It is another of the many places to travel from the beach directly into the rainforest. Los Suenos Resort and Marina is a 1,100-acre luxury community. You are sure to see beautiful yachts and homes.
