Costa Rica Nature
The tropical climate of Costa Rica and its different eco-systems are certainly wonderful and unique, but they can also become a challenge for travelers in terms of what to bring before arriving to this Central American country. The most important thing to keep in mind is that Costa Rica has two seasons (dry and rainy); both seasons are considerably different therefore clothing (including accessories) and equipment should vary as well.
The country`s annual temperature hovers 71°F (21°C) and 81°F (27°C).

The rainy season runs from May to December and during these months the weather can get chilly especially if you are visiting the mountainous locations of the country. Recommended clothing and equipment here includes: sweater, binoculars (for better nature observation), hiking boots, jeans, camera and insect repellent. For a beach adventure your clothing should be different as the coasts of Costa Rica maintain a fairly warming weather year-round although during rainy season the humidity on the air can increase. Shorts, shirts, sandals, and sun glasses are a few must bring items here.
The dry season in Costa Rica covers from January to May; if you are vacationing at the Pacific or Caribbean Coast the heat during this season might be important factor to consider, using light clothing with bright colors can make your stay more enjoyable and of course don´t forget to pack your sunscreen lotion.

“Okay my name is XX.. I come from France, I´ve been in Costa Rica for nearly 2 weeks now and I think it´s a country that … like a lot since now. We chose to come here because of the nature, the animals and we are not at all disappointed. We are very … everything around nature, around ecology, and around animals, so we think we have found a lot of what we went to look for … monkeys and to walk around in the different environments that we never saw so far. It´s a very great experience so far. People from here to our opinion are great; I think it´s a nice experience to live.”
