Nature Air or Sansa? Make an informed decision!

Domestic flights within Costa Rica are the only way to fly. If you are in need of a way to get to some place in Costa Rica; and you are in Costa Rica, then you will want to fly within Costa Rica. You can use one of two flight companies.

Those companies are “Nature Air”, and “Sansa”. Both companies are good; but here is a few of the differences.

“Nature Air” is slightly more expensive than “Sansa” in their prices for flights. “Nature Air” has terms and conditions that are very similar to “Sansa”. Here are a few differences. “Sansa” charges $15 more than “Nature Air” for surfboards.

“Sansa” charges $1 more per pound for their over the weight baggage. “Sansa” allows 27 pounds per person. “Nature Air” charges only $.45 per pound for their over the weight baggage. The allowed luggage weight for “Nature Air” is 25 pounds per person. All other baggage above the 25 pounds per person is considered standby luggage.

Windsurfing boards are allowed on “Sansa”. “Nature Air”, however does allow windsurfing boards if you pay a surcharge of $15 each way. The same rules apply to bicycles. This can be an issue for some. Make sure you choose the one that meets your needs. Surfing boards, however, are allowed on both for a surcharge. “Nature Air” charges $15 for a surfboard being added to your baggage. “Sansa” charges $30 for a surfboard as baggage. Surfboards however, may not exceed 6.9ft/2.1mts in length.

The only airline company in Costa Rica that allows pets on it’s domestic flights is “Sansa”. “Nature Air” does not allow pets on board of the plane. Both airlines fail to hold responsibility for any issues that come up during your flight. Your baggage, your health, and your children, are all your responsibility. Both “Sansa” and “Nature Air” state that they hold no blame in any event during the flight.

Both “Sansa” and “Nature Air” allow children under 2 years of age to fly for free. The only rule is the child must be seated on the lap of their parent. In other words, no car seats unless you pay for another seat. Follow your own convictions before you order your tickets at either “Sansa” or “Nature Air”.

If you take a look at both airlines side by side, you will see that “Sansa” and “Nature Air” are very good choices for traveling during your Costa Rica vacations. The choices are based on prices, cost of travel with baggage, and times of the flights.
