Reventazon River Costa Rica

The Reventazon River is a 145 Km long river that originates in the Meseta Central and flows into the Caribbean Sea. It flows through the valleys of Turrialba, Reventazon and Orosi and through the village of Parismina.

It is also called Parismina River by some and gets the name from the Parismina village.

Currently, the Reventazon River is in danger of losing its natural charm because of some hydroelectric projects. But it still remains one of the most sought after rivers in Costa Rica as far as vacationers are concerned.

Some of these rapids have a difficulty level exceeding class-V and for adventure sports lovers, it is an ideal location for some exciting whitewater rafting.
