Tripping Costa Rica – Vacation Recommendations
Located to the east side of Panama, Costa Rica is one of the most important countries in ecosystems. This has different natural parks and protected areas where visitors can enjoy the wonderful mountains, volcanoes, fauna and flora, and water resources during their vacations.
Ecotourism is one of the most important aspects of the country economy including banana and coffee exportation. Every year, Costa Rica welcomes more than two million foreign visitors. Most of them come from America and Canada 46%, Europe 16%, and other countries 38%. According to this, this is a place worth visiting since it has diverse attractions and national parks.
If you are planning to take vacations to Costa Rica, then you have to know what airliners provide flights to this country depending on your location. People from Europe can only use Iberia, Condor, and Martinair to get direct flights. However, KLM airlines provide flights from Amsterdam. People in Europe can use some other airliners that have some flight connections in the US. In this case, people arrive to cities like Miami, Dallas, Atlanta, or New York, to get direct flights to Costa Rica. This may take some hours more, but it definitely leads to your final destination. On the other hand, people travelling from the United States and Canada can choose from different airlines such as Continental, Delta, American Airlines, Us Air, Frontier, Spirit Air, and Air Canada. Most of these flights are direct so that people can get to Costa Rica in a few hours. Some of the most important airports in the country are the Juan Santa Maria Airport, situated at 20km from the capital San Jose, and the Liberia International Airport.
Moreover, it is important to decide what kind of transportation you are going to use on vacations. Costa Rica has official taxis that offer their services inside and around the cities. You can identify official taxis by their red color and their yellow triangle in the front doors. Rates for taxi services are reasonably cheap as compared with taxi services in America or Europe. Moreover, if you want to save more money, you can opt for a non-official taxi (aka “pirates”) that offers the same services at lower costs. However, it is not recommended given that this country has some safety problems. Bus transportation can be a good option if you are planning to move to longer distances. Prices for bus services vary from $1 to 2$ dollars depending on how far is your location. Another option is car rental. Here, you can travel around the country by the way you enjoy the magnificent mountains and landscapes. However, it is necessary to get some support from car rental companies in to determine what car is more appropriate to get to your destination. Sometimes, it would be better to rent a 4×4 truck instead of a compact if the characteristics of the road are demanding. For instance, if you are planning to get to the Central Valley area, it would be useful to rent a compact car, but you will definitely need a 4×4 to get to Monteverde Cloud Forrest.
