Think Green Equals Costa Rica

As soon as you hear the voice on the airplane speaker saying that in a few minutes you will be landing in San Jose, Costa Rica (by the way you land in Juan Santamaria Airport) you know the right decision was made for your travel vacation!

Just looking through the little round widows the view is awesome, being a tropical country located in Central America, everything is green throughout the year.

There’s two seasons in Costa Rica, winter and summer, and as weird as it may sound, if you want a vacation without too much rain, the best time to go is at the beginning of November until the end of April, but if you like some really nice showers from the sky, be sure to travel during May all through October.

The country is divided in seven provinces: San Jose, Heredia, Alajuela, Cartago, Guanacaste, Puntarenas and Limon. There’s something to do and see in every single one of them.

In San Jose, the main city, you’ll be able to find places like “Plaza de la Cultura”, “Teatro Nacional”, Gold Museum, Jade Museum, “Mercado Central”, parks like La Sabana, called ‘the lung in the middle of the city’.

Make sure not to miss one of the many Butterfly Farms, it’s a peaceful little heaven, and they’re all over the country.

Volcanoes are some of the main attractions, Arenal being one of the most visited in La Fortuna, Alajuela, for its perfect cone shape and amazing activity.

The beaches are found in Guanacaste and Puntarenas, being this the Pacific coast, and Limon on the Atlantic side. River rafting is a must and it can be combined with other tours like canopying, hiking and many more.

Taking your vacations to Costa Rica will make you want to think green over and over again!
