I know first hand how beautiful the beaches are in Costa Rica. My family and I lived there for two years. We lived in Montezuma and Tambor. Both areas are beautiful and I highly recommend the Nicoya Peninsula. You have world class surfing in Santa Teresa. Tambor is nice for families and Montezuma has a good hippy vibe to it. Safe Travels!

Couldn't agree more. Reading through a post like this one it's easy to see where the expression "Pura Vida" comes from.

One of our team members recently cam back from a canopy tour in Pinilla and said it was one of the best and most fun things they've ever done.

Great post.

Costa Rica is definitely a great place to visit if your a more adventurous and active type of traveler - spend the morning sailing through the trees on a canopy tour and end your day sipping coconut juice on the beach.

It's hard to beat.

I think Costa Rica is the few remaining places that have untouched rainforest. I know the diversity is amazing in places like this, from plants to animals and everything else. There might be stuff that hasn't even been discovered yet.

The most interesting tourist attraction seems to be diving, since Costa Rica's waters are full of wondrous and colorful fish of all types and sizes, and it's a really beautiful sight to see.

If you do ever visit this place, make sure you go rafting. It's sure to put some hair on your chest. There's plenty of stuff to do so don't worry about it. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Absolutely correct! There's so much to do an experience in Costa Rica, whether for activities, ecotours or just relaxing. The country's "Pura Vida" lifestyle and philosophy means that your visit will be pleasurable, and above all memorable.

Cheers, Tee

This is great information! I am planning our next trip to Costa Rica and we want to try new places and Mal Pais sounds so nice. It kindof sounds like what Tamarindo would be 8 years ago. Any recommendations on cute hotels in the area or is renting a house or villa more exciting!? Its just my hubby and me traveling. We had our wedding in Tamarindo but cant wait to come back and try out new places! Thanks for the info!
